Map Pencil Set (1960s)

With an original price of £2 these old Japanese pencils are a real collectors piece. A metal tin housing 24 unused wooden, coloured pencils and with a map printed on the front. 

The map is fairly helpful in dating this item, but it has several contradictions. We have concluded that these are mid to late 1960s.
